Engine kaputt...

The second race was a bit unlucky. The rear piston didn't last in my pace until the chequered flag :)

Anyway this weekend was a good test for the first round of the European Champs. We are definitely closer to the maximum power than last year. Looking forward to the next race...

1st race was full of insidents and positions from 6th to 3rd. New engine and chassis feels very good. Promising experience for this forthcoming season...

A secret weapon...

We have had a secret weapon in the team whole weekend - Seppo has been polishing the bodywork and warming up the tires :)

First race day 2012

Some insidents during today's free practises: one loosen rear axle, loosen nikasil from the rear cylinder & broken piston, broken hose clip... etc. We really were close to the total destruction many times today. So, P6 in the Q1 was a real happy ending :). Alhtough 1,6 seconds from the pole does not sound very good, but compared to our performance today it was quite ok result.

We made some changes for the gearing and got many improvement ideas for different areas still in the evening. Andrea from the engine factory has been helping us quite a lot today. Great work Andrea, John, Juha and Seppo!

New season starting!

New season 2012 is here! The first race will be held in Hockenheim, Germany, and it's the first of the five races in French Open Championship season. Take a look of the race (and the season) premiere in Media Superkart:

First race in semi-wet greasy track with slicks on. There was a LOT of traffic, but I made 4th quickest time and finished on 6th. Today I was fastest Redspeed. The only bad news for the second race is that I must start from P27 and do this once again...

Right, now we got the rain. So this you may call as a baaaad luck. This ruined the weekend. P28 for the both of the races - my favourite grid! Yesss.
